Last night was also Donna the Buffalo, which Daniel and I were just too lazy to go to. I had really been looking forward to it, but am just feeling overwhelmed with lots of stuff to do and wanted to stay at home in the warmth and be a couch potato.
After work I met with someone who manages condominiums - I'm going to start helping with their books each month - doing reconciliations and tax forms/reports. Yay money. And something I can do from home.
Monday night was John Mayer in Huntsville. I had a great time with Barbara, and we met up with allilm, bygeeves, and uabneurorn. The opener was Soulive, and they brought the funk! I was kinda disappointed that Josh Rouse had just finished his round of shows opening for John, but Soulive made up for that and more. I would definitely recommend checking them out if they tour near you. The only problem was the bass. Ever go to a show and the bass is just so deep and loud, that you feel...injured afterwards. It was kinda like that. My breastbone was vibrating.
John and his band were all dressed in either a black shirt/dark pants, or white/black/grey stripes. I guess it was Folsom Prison wardrobe theme night for them? Our seats were on the 2nd row to the right of center - great seats :)

I was really glad to hear Clarity and Why Georgia. I enjoyed the people who were around us - that's always nice because one asshole can sometimes ruin a show.

Overall a really good time at a show - one of the top ones, for sure. I was supposed to help Barbara stay awake on the way back, but I kept falling asleep. Sorry about that, Barb!
