Last Saturday I went to Jackson, mostly to hang out with my niece and help her make Christmas presents for people. When I got to town, I hung out with my Mom for a while. We made 3 batches of peanut brittle. I think each batch got progressively better. I love my Mom. I appreciate her more and more as I get older. I like talking to her about various food things, recipes, healthy eating, and such. Then I went to my sister and brother-in-law's house. Drew (niece) and I talked about various things she could make. I brought some stuff with me, and we also looked through a book I had, and then found other stuff at Hobby Lobby that she liked as well (r.i.p. Michael's in Jackson). We spent the evening working on crafty stuff and baby sitting baby Lucas while Becky and Andy went to a work Christmas party. It was so fun. I loved getting to spend quality time with both of them.
I got many things done really early for the holidays, then I took a break, and now I'm feeling behind. I've gotta learn to be the tortoise more instead of the hare.
I really miss Scrubs. The writers' strike hasn't affected me that much personally, but I'm sad that it might not have an ending. I wonder how Lost will be affected.
